not long after we've reached base camp 3!
hmms. only about 4-5 hr trek bah super shioK!
but there were alot alot of rocks to climb! but it was fun!
just abit b4 basecamp there was a wonderful place to rest and take pic!

after this was still photos after photos! and slacking till lunch and dinner!
this was the best day ever!!! so slack! so carefree!
i wished every other day was like that!
although there is the summit climb on the next day! i wouldnt mind to climb it again (sliding down was fun!)
i just loved this day

1) our long awaited lunch! bleh someone grabbed the plates before i could take a pic! BLEH

2) i've finally shitted !! and WE SHITTED. hahaha. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLOUDS. yay! OUR FIRST TIME SHITTING IN CLOUDS. toilet was quite filled already by that time. everyone was rushing there after lunch.

3) WONDERFUL gossip group of people! GOSSIPED alot alot about everything in the world. created some list thing. HMM haha SO FUN LA. played paper bridge again... drew smth for nellyn ( haha actually nothing) i just handed her a blank paper. and said it was the scenery. yep (link back to the pic with me and clement) CLOUDS .

4) and soon it was dinner time! and DEBRIEF too! hahahahah. smth cranky happened (well i forgot what) that fariha started laughing. and she cried! i was laughing madly too hahahaha. crazy and funky bunch of people :D

LAST 3 days to go! studying in the library certainly is much more constructive than i am at home i did nothing at all AT ALL yesterday.
hahaha going sch to study with j1 odacians tomoro! gonna be cool! hahah

Day5: summit climb

alrightss finally im on the last day of trek.... YEPP
we all slept at around 8+pm to prepare for the SUMMIT CLIMB on this very day
weird time to sleep but nvm we woke up at 12.45!! to prepare for the CLIMB!
pre-breakfast was shiok! sandwich and erm erm erm tea?
erm banana or pineapples. cant remember =P
too much of banana /pineapples.

everyone of us went up except ms ng.. hmmm she had her reasons la .. yep :D

okk it was seriously freezing cold... everyone got ready and we set off!!!

it started off warm!.. and it was STILL VERY VERY DARK!
so we had our headlights too :D looked kuku yet pro with the headlights :D
everyone started taking off few layers after a few min of trek up!
as far as i could remember, the route wasnt VERY sandy.
but just sandy and steps all around.

we just kept walking till where wind started blowing strongly! BLEHH
so all started putting on layers after layers!
only a few pics were taken cuz we were just too lazy to take out our cam
and it was very inconvenient/dangerous to take it out and it was simply too dark .
no scenery no nothing blehh

as we climbed higher. the frigging wind gets friggin stronger.
WAHAH COLD LIKE HELL .. well. ermm. COLD LIKE HEAVEN LA.
( hell suppose to be quite hot i guess) wooooh hahah not funny bleh. (cold?)

wind was so strong that they can blow us off!! u cant jump on the spot.
i guess that's how strong the wind was.
everyone (well at least those behind) got quite frustrated whenever the team stops.
cuz wind was just blowing and blowin! and we cant generate heat if we stop!

so there were many parts that people hugged together for warmth.
wriggled and moved around on the stop to generate heat...
and there was this point where there was this 10 min break! FREAK!
this was the part that some cant take the cold and decided to descend back to base camp..

by the time was already near sunrise! and we are still wayyy from the top.
everyone hugged together in groups for warmth.
my hands were totally NUMBED. cuz my gloves were too thin . and it had holes!! BLEH

was really touched at this point..
this special thing in the group that keeps our spirit burning (hmmm?)
we encouraged one another.. rub each other, hug each other,
just for the summit and yep that point was really an ordeal for us i guess...
and we survived it ! together! :D

there were few narrow paths that u look to ur left u see the way DOWN DOWN DOWN, u look to your right. u sae another way DOWN DOWN DOWN.
hmmm scary sias. WE CARRIED ON!
the wind did not get any weaker. BLEH and the pace now was some sort of slower.
and there were some frequent stops.

THANKS ALAN !! for trying to block wind for me whenever there are stops!!
and i know u are feeling cold too! thanks alot alot! XD great buddy bud!
but wind was still coming in all sort of directions...
i tried to hide behind taiyong and alan .. but no use leh.

hahah soon was the GRAVEL part.
where u seriously feel "3steps up 2steps down" and this is a LONG PATH.
imagine there's suppsoe to be like 100 steps up to summit,
u need to take 300steps to reach??? OMG hahaha
slide and slide. fell and fell. we all carried on at our own pace.
some left their walking sticks. and did the doggy style to climb up. (using 4 limbs)
so cute la. hahah

u could have chiong up all the way instead of waiting for me i think!
but yeahh thanks for climbing up slowly with me .
hahaha and soon we reached the TOP!

4) hmmm FIND ME! hahaha i finally stood up on the summit. was very tired to stand up, scared to stand up too!... so i took very few photos up there! and this very nice alan just deprived me of another photo on summit! HAHAHAHA... jokin la. lol. must really thank him ! i've made it to the top!

summit was cold! there wasnt much movement! and the wind was still as strong!

yep cant stay for long. so we descended! was really cool descending.
actually thought it's gonna be tough and scary and dangerous... but it was just tedious!

sliding on the gravel was superbly fun!
holding hands and sliding together!! hahahah slide slide slide. fall fall fall .
hahah UNGLAMITIES comes in
MY BUDDY PEE-ed AT SOMEWHERE NEAR THE SUMMIT! HE PEE-ED AT 3000++m! hahah COOOL?

and the scenery was cool! and we cant remember much of the path we took when we ascended as it was dark!
and soon i realised that everypart of the path were loose sand!.
we just slide all the way yeah.
and not very soon after, we reached base camp at 11.+
rushed thru our BREAKFAST and set off at 12.10

1) the path down... scary right!

2) near the summit DOWN. DOWN DOWN!

3) after summit climb, the 7hrs trek down rinjani! it was like grassplains after grassplains the same sceneries appeared after every flat ground.. and u cant really see the end. yep

4) lunch at somewhere. hahah

it was suppose to be 5hrs up AND down..
and we took 5hrs! up ONLY. and 4hrs DOWN.

wonder how can others do it within 5hrs! we gave ourselves allowance already.
suppose to reach base camp by 9!.. hmm however we are still 2hrs late.
and we had to trek 7hrs down rinjani toO! OMG

we started trekking and what we saw was only clouds, grassplains,
and endless road down nothing seemed to change after like 2hrs???
we were the last few pair again. mr lim behind us again. hmmm.
DONT WORRY BE HAPPY! hahah

lunch was okk. much more the same as previous lunch.
no surprises! no fun! hahahahha hurried down again..
was the 1st pair this time. cuz my knees and toes were giving way.
bleh had to put all my weight on my walking stick! and alan!
hahahah used him for support down steps =X hahahah

THANKS AGAIN alan! hahah he'd really helped me alot !
it was dark and we had to use headlights again.
there were loads of cowdungs around us la. poor aga...
hahah stepped on them bleh =P

trek down was fun! though draining... finally we reached.
i remember i've said something bout sweet drinks. how much i wanted it. and yep!
kind ms renen treated us SOFT DRINKS when we reached.
OMG OMG OMG TAI SHEN QI LE! she can read my mind!

we sat on the tuk tuk for 1 hr back to hotel.
crapped alot! and dozed off. even on the tuk tuk..how tired i was.
felt like puking on the tuktuk.
16hrs of trek for the day. WONDERFUL pls

anticipated dinner when we reached hotel. bleh. dinner wasnt ready.
i dozed off on the dining table. BLEHH .. i was seriously TIRED.
i woke up when dinner was in front of me. hahah NICE TIMING!
din finish the dinner. back to our hotel! SHIOK!

realised that ms ng gonna sleep with ms renen! SHIOK SHIOK!
me and wynee had the whole room to ourselves (although only one single bed)
but it was definitely shiok!. and having mrlim bside our room was fun!
hahah he crapped with us till we slept. it was the nicer hotel! and alright it rocks!

me and wynee unpacked...
and decided that we should not bathe as it was freezing cold again.
so we were the dirty people for the night. slept throughout the night.
wonderful. slept so heavily that we cant hear mrlim's snore!

sorry if it's really very narrative! just had alot to say bout this day.
sorry if it did bored u. it did bored me as well
i was just trying to recall and remember the wonderful time and to keep it as a backup copy. lest i lose all my memories.
haha wanted to update on the last 2nd day as well. but too tired!
